On 19 August 2020, on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday around one a thunderstorm supercell hit the southern part of Brescia, the main towns where the supercell hit are: Lograto, Capriano, Poncarale, Azzano and Bagnolo Mella. In the area there were violent storms and hailstorms with grains that reached 2-3 centimeters in size and violent gusts of wind. Fortunately, no particular damage was recorded.
On 28 August 2020 at around 2 pm on Friday, a supercell hit the western part of the Brasciano area, between Palazzolo and Chiari, and quickly moved eastwards. In particular, the municipalities of Cologne, Erbusco and Castegnato were affected. Violent hailstorms were recorded, also the square of Palazzolo was flooded, while in Castegnato Via Gallo was closed due to the fall of a pine and via Cavour was invaded by water and mud. In the city rain and strong winds, but no damage. The Bassa Bresciana was spared.
